Vichy Purete Thermale Cleansing Foam | Review

I ran out of my old face wash and was wondering whether to restock the same one or try something new….. no points for guessing which way I was leaning!

I have been wanting to try out products by Vichy since they launched in India sometime back, so I went for this cleansing foam from their Purete Thermale Range. This collection consists of gentle, paraben-free cleansers. They have thermal spring water (Vichy calls it Thermal Spa Water) as one of the ingredients which has minerals and anti oxidants.

Cost:450 INR for 50 ml ( also available: 150ml for 1050INR)

Buy Online: http://amzn.to/2cFRJ3H

Product Claims: Contains antioxidants, Thermal Spa Water, Vitamin E and real concentrate of hydrating glycerin . Does not dry out sensitive skin. Formula is Parable free & hypoallergenic.

It comes in a fetching transparent aquamarine bottle. It has a pump to dispense the liquid inside. The cool part is the liquid magically (when it comes in contact with air- but magic sounds better eh!) turns into foam as soon as it comes out! If you have played around with foam you know that it quickly dies but this one stays there for a bit. One needs to be sparing with the force applied on the pump, since the output is foam you don’t need as much as you would require if it was liquid.

Working it all over the moist face and neck is easy and quick due to the foamy consistency. Post rinse the skin feels clean and refreshed. It cleanses the skin well without drying it out. This one is ideal for the winters when we tend to have drier skin than usual. It also feels very refreshing as its not heavy on the skin. It removes some makeup from the skin, but of course some residue remains. I think it should work for all skin types, although extremely oily skin will need double wash. I have a Oily T- Zone and comfortable cheeks so, this works quite well for me. The cleanser has a mild scent to it which I quite like since its almost negligible.

Closing Thoughts:

This is one of the nicer face washes I have tried. Of course the nicety comes at a price but if you want an experience which is a little better than the usual supermarket picks give this one a shot.

Have you tried any other products from Vichy? Let me know your experience in the comments section.
