Today I am reviewing a shower gel from The Body Shop’s British Rose Range. This range launched a few months back and I had run out of shower gel so I was on a look out for a replacement. I am not a fan of the majority of TBS bath and body care fragrances but lately they are surprising me.

The best part about the shower gel is its gentle refreshing smell. Whenever someone says Rose fragrance what comes to my mind is the strong Gulaab Jal (Rose water) smell but thank goodness this is nothing like that. It has very gentle yet invigorating rose smell which instantly lifts your mood in the mornings. I am not lying when I say, the first few days after I purchased this product I actually looked forward to showering! Its winter and that generally is not the case otherwise. The downside is the smell doesn’t last. One can build it up with other products from the same range but I don’t like hoarding products that smell the same.
Other than the smell it is an average product. It doesn’t lather very much on its own but I think it will if used with a loofah (I detest loofahs – story for another day!). Its a transparent gel consistency with a hint of pink colour. It does its job without drying the skin. The packaging is basic with a flip-top cap. I really wish The Body Shop would get its packaging game at par with Bath and Body Works. The press to open type caps that Bath and Body Works use is so much better than these flip-tops that tend to break easily.
- The Refreshing Smell
- Economically Priced
- Cruelty Free
Buy it for the smell! I am impressed by the fresh smell and going against my own principle I am planning to check out the EDT and the body lotion of the same range in my next visit to the mall. Let me know if you have used any other products from this range and how has your experience been in the comments.
