You’ve gotta check out the stuff this promises to do! It’s almost marketed like black-magic in a jar, to go with that- an equally hefty price to support that ridiculous claim! Since I was absolutely certain that time travelling to the past & regaining my glorious younger skin is impossible, whatever EL’s marketing may claim; I did not buy this on my own accord! I tried this product only because I received this as a sample when I purchased the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum.
I got this during the monsoons and the rainy season in India tend towards uncomfortably humid & sticky. During that weather when I tried this for the first time I absolutely hated it! But as the winter set in I discovered a new side to this cream.

Before getting into the review I want to address an important point about this cream’s ingredient mix and research supporting them. This is also perhaps a big factor contributing towards the ridiculous price tag. Because research needs resources and resources cost money!
It is claimed to contain cell-communication restoring ingredients. Communication between cells breaks down with age which causes various age related concerns. In principle if this communication network can be made functional again, aging skin can begin to look and behave like young skin. EL’s trademarked Tri-HA Cell Signaling Complex claims to do so by repairing the skin cell network and connective tissue that breaks down over time. It also signals the skin to produce more Hyaluronic Acid, a powerful humectant that attracts and binds water to smooth and plumps the skin reducing lines and wrinkles. Read more about this amazing ingredient here. They claim that their in-vitro tests have demonstrated that Hyaluronic Acid production is increased by 182% in just 3 days.
The Time Zone Range by EL also claims to have Sirtuin EX1 technology supporting cellular regeneration. It helps skin naturally stimulate its proteins, there-by helping skin cells renew their innate ability to withstand daily stress. The key ingredient in this technology is a patented hydrolyzed anti-aging rice extract.
The cream comes packaged in a pretty jar which is perhaps its biggest drawback. Jar/tub packaging is simply unhygienic as each time one dips in their finger they will contaminate the contents reducing the shelf life. Also its one of those false bottom containers where it looks huge but actually contains very little product!
The cream is white in colour, light in texture with a good slip. I notice it somehow always remains cool which feels quite pleasant on the face. It has a lot of fragrance, something I don’t enjoy but the strength of the scent subsides gradually.
When I initially tried it during humid weather it seemed way too oily and heavy for me. Almost a throwback to Ponds Cold Cream just sitting there on the skin and ruining one’s self-esteem every passing minute. But as the weather changed to cold and dry this worked wonderfully. I generally use it in my PM skin care routine after cleansing and toning. If I am feeling especially dry I use it over the Estee Lauder Serum.
It sinks in after about 15 minutes during which the skin will feel slightly greasy. This is the reason why I use it at night before bed time. I wake up with well moisturized and radiant skin. I didn’t realize how well this worked till one night I skipped it. I tried this during the day but the time it takes to get absorbed into the skin is way too high to suit my rushed morning schedule. I personally don’t use it in the morning, but if you are not in a massive hurry like me this can definitely become a part of the AM routine, as it also has SPF.
Although this product is meant for normal to combination skin, the dry skinned folks can also comfortably use this but it is definitely not recommended for the oily skinned.
- Effective, especially so for dry skin observed in winters.
- Immediate & noticeable effect.
- Heavily Scented
- Unhygienic jar packaging
- Not Cruelty Free
- Initial greasiness is unpleasant
This cream gives an immediate and noticeable result. This is perhaps due to the many hydrating ingredients it contains. I have been using it for half a year now and I definitely notice that my skin looks lustrous and radiant when I use this. If you have the budget I would say totally go for it; but before investing so much money checking out a sample is advisable.
I don’t have wrinkles yet so I cant say this has reversed them and for even the most miraculous product to do that one would have to be at it for much more than just 6 months!
Have you tried this product, I would love to hear your experiences in the comments. Also check out my review for the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum here.

The product looks very promising. Unfortunately anything that has fragrance is a no-no for my skin. I have a very sensitive skin and allergic to fragrance.
Hey Joy! Thanks for stopping by 🙂 I understand what you mean and unfortunately you will have to avoid this one then! Most often if addition of fragrance is skipped, we will have to endure the not so pleasant smells of the base ingredients but I am sure with so much advancement in cosmetology they will find a work around.
Estee lauder advanced night cream is magic!!! It’s discontinued so I bought like 10 . I’m 60 and I look 40 with this cream .it erases everything u don’t want on ur face for perfect skin .been using it about 10;yrs and if u buy it on line it’s not expensive because it lasts so long ..every night just a dot here and there. .fabulous!!!!
Thats a glowing review right there !! Thanks for sharing. Do you have an eye cream recco to share?
I have very dry skin so I would definitely try it if it were within my budget!!!
I’m only 28 but starting so show some serious smile wrinkles. Might have to check this out!
Bless you for posting a detailed rundown of the ingredients. Sometimes they are so difficult to find. I would try this if it weren’t for the fragarence
I tried this before and thought it was way to “heavy” for my skin. I have super oily skin though in the summer which maybe the reason. I will get another sample and try it now that it’s winter time and I am not as oily. Thank you for the review! Especially being honest about hating it in the summer because I am in the same boat.
This is a candid review. The cream does sound like it has the capacity to do magic and reverse aging of the skin. But again the effect would be different based on skin type.
I love Estée Lauder! Growing up that was ALLmy mom used, so naturally that’s all I want to use. But I’ve never tried this stuff, I’ll definitely have to check them out.
This sounds like a good product. I think it’s worth to try as a gift. I have sensitive skin. My friends would love this!!!
This sounds like a great product. Especially for those with non sensitive skin. My bestie lives by this brand.
It sounds like an amazing and promising product. MY grandma uses this brand all the time.
