The kind folks at Mirabela gifted me a couple of their herbal powders. I have never really used herbal powders in my skincare routine so I was excited to try them, especially the Pure Sandalwood Powder by Mirabela. As Indians we are well versed with the fact that Sandalwood is a highly potent and effective Ayurvedic Herb and I really wanted to try this powder for rejuvenating my facial care.

Bright Years Under-Eye Recovery Gel by Plum | Review
The skin around the eyes is thinner and more delicate than the rest of the face therefore prone to dryness, dark circles, and wrinkles. I am in my late 30s and its time I make friends with Under eye cream. An under eye cream can help to hydrate, brighten, and protect the delicate skin around the eyes so I am always on the look out for options and decided to try the Bright Years Under-Eye Recovery Gel by Plum.
Keep Calm Hyaluronic Acid Serum By Foxtail | Review
In the quest for dewy hydrated skin I have tried many products but some of the best have been Hyaluronic Acid based Serums. The Keep Calm – Hyaluronic Acid Serum is Foxtail’s most popular product with some big claims and I was very curious to test it. The brand sent this to me but the thoughts are my own; and like always keeping it plainspoken.

SunScoop: Invisible Sunscreen SPF40- Review
I am always on the look out for good sunscreens and an Indian brand’s (rather heavy handed) Social media marketing caught my eye. Suddenly there has been a rapid rise of indie brands that are mostly all about marketing and less about performance so I was curious to see how this Invisible Sunscreen from SunScoop will fare.
Bioré: Makeup Remover Cleansing Oil -Review
I am a big fan of J beauty primarily because Japanese skincare is about minimal efforts with max gain and who doesn’t appreciate that! Bioré is a popular J-Beauty brand that recently launched in India. I am thrilled because previously I had to ask friends who travelled to Japan to shop for me and pandemic put a stop to that as well; so am very glad to purchase locally.
Previously I have used their Sunscreen which is my absolute favourite and has a cult following so I wanted to try other things the brand had to offer. I have generally had a bitter experience with cleansing oils in the past so I was hesitant but since the brand had impressed me with their sunscreen I thought I should try the cleansing oil and I am glad I did.

Nourish Mantra – a relatively new Indian brand that also retails in the USA (which means their formulations abide by stricter rules as compared to ones that retail in India only). The brand believes in “Slow Beauty” and claims to be on a mission to modernize traditional Indian beauty philosophies making them relevant. The products are claimed to be 100% vegan, cruelty-free and created with ethically sourced ingredients which IMO is wonderful.
The Face Shop: Rice Ceramide Moisturizing Emulsion | Review
Ceramides are a hot ingredient as far as Skincare is concerned and for good reason. They are a integral component of the skin barrier. Ceramides are lipids/ fat molecules that help the skin retain moisture and protects it from external aggressors. But like everything a lot of things in life (eg. sanity) you begin to lose this as you age! So when I had a chance to try this Rice Ceramide Emulsion, it is safe to say I jumped at it!
