Nourish Mantra – a relatively new Indian brand that also retails in the USA (which means their formulations abide by stricter rules as compared to ones that retail in India only). The brand believes in “Slow Beauty” and claims to be on a mission to modernize traditional Indian beauty philosophies making them relevant. The products are claimed to be 100% vegan, cruelty-free and created with ethically sourced ingredients which IMO is wonderful.
Ceramides are a hot ingredient as far as Skincare is concerned and for good reason. They are a integral component of the skin barrier. Ceramides are lipids/ fat molecules that help the skin retain moisture and protects it from external aggressors. But like
everything a lot of things in life (eg. sanity) you begin to lose this as you age! So when I had a chance to try this Rice Ceramide Emulsion, it is safe to say I jumped at it!
M-Caffeine as a brand never really caught my eye primarily because the market is abuzz with coffee based products offered by numerous new entrants and there is only so much one can keep up with! I would have never tried it unless Ms. Super Consumer encouraged me to check out some options from M-Caffeine and I am glad I did! In this post I am reviewing the Naked & Rich – Choco Body Butter.
I have been on the lookout for a oil cleanser that can remove waterproof mascara without stinging my eye. Safe to say I have been miserably failing in this quest. I really do like wearing mascara but the prospect of removing it at the end of the day was getting daunting. To rise above this fear I gave it another shot with The Rice Water Bright – Light Cleansing Oil.
I cannot deny I am a fan of this French Pharmacy brand! Infact one of my first post when I started this blog was a review of their uber popular Micellar water after which there was no stopping me! I have tried a few products from their Hydrabio Range and some from the Sebium Range. In this post I am reviewing the Mat Control Moisturizer from their Sebium Range. This is essentially a shine-control (mattifying)
cream fluid targeted at moisturizing oily – combination skin.
The first one that I dove into was the Naked & Raw – Coffee Body Scrub.
Aloe Vera is a well known ingredient for its moisturizing and soothing property. I would ideally prefer to use the gel directly from the plant but I have gloriously failed at keeping an Aloe plant alive, so I went the packaged & preserved route. Previously I have tried some gels from Patanjali and Shri Shri’s brand but both of them were very sticky and weird after drying so I was generally averse to the packaged options but The Face Shop’s Jeju Aloe Fresh Soothing Gel has surprised me!
I always look forward to spotting new Indie Brands and try their offerings so I was pretty kicked when I got an opportunity to try a bunch of products from the brand – Indrani Cosmetics. The brand has very generously gifted me these products but the opinions expressed here are my own.
This was released in Japanese markets in 2004, and has since become the #1 facial lotion there, with a bottle claimed to be purchased every four seconds! I had heard of this product a few years ago from the OG – Gothamista and since it was sitting in may “Want from Japan” list for a while. I am lucky enough to have friends who travel and are willing to indulge me so that’s how I got my hand on this cult favourite Hydrating Lotion.
I don’t think MAC Cosmetics has left any stone unturned in marketing this product! All Beauty Influencers and Makeup Artists alike can’t stop talking about it. You have to give it to MAC for some very potent advertising due to which I was (for the lack of a more appropriate word) coerced into buying this highlighting cream, ambitiously named – Strobe Cream!
