I don’t think MAC Cosmetics has left any stone unturned in marketing this product! All Beauty Influencers and Makeup Artists alike can’t stop talking about it. You have to give it to MAC for some very potent advertising due to which I was (for the lack of a more appropriate word) coerced into buying this highlighting cream, ambitiously named – Strobe Cream!

Whenever brands claim things like long-lasting, 24 hour staying power and such I always take it with a grain of salt due to the many years of unmet expectations and OTT claims that hold no good but this time Maybelline surprised me with the Superstay 24 Hour 2 Step Lipstick. I was able to try the shade 115 Forever Chestnut.

There is something so satisfying about holding a fat crayon and going to town; I guess it brings out the child in us. Lakme was on trend when they launched these Lip Pout Crayons and I was able to try the shade Mauve Hue.

A few months back I won a bunch of NYX products in a giveaway held by Tshering Yangzom of Titi’s Corner. This 3 IN 1 brow pencil was something that I was most excited about. Brow products have taken over the market by storm. Initially popularized by Anastasia Beverly Hills in 2013 and there has been no looking back since then. Each & every brand offers brow makeup in their portfolio these days. Rightfully so because well done brows are never out of fashion.

As I mentioned in some of my previous posts I am always on the look out for affordable alternatives of the high-end products and another such attempt was made here. In theory the Fit ME range by Maybelline makes great sense but as usual India Market did not get the full shade-range, which was quite disappointing. Out of the one’s available I was able to try the Shade 330 Toffee Caramel.

This one is from Maybellines’s permanent range named Colour Sensational Moisture Extreme. I was on the look out for a Bright Pink shade to match my Fuchsia Saree. When I came across this shade called Coral Pink (CB41) in the Yellow bright light at the mall; I thought this was it! But of course like many lipsticks it wears differently in daylight.

I am a big fan of L.A. Girl’s BB Cream. So far I have re-purchased it thrice and the review post of the BB cream has been read over 6000+ times since I published it in September 2016; so clearly a lot of you are interested in the brand as well. I recently had the opportunity to try out the pressed powder from L.A. Girl in shade GPP608- Soft Honey. With the benchmark the brand had set with the BB cream my expectations for this powder were very high.

I have always been a fan of Inglot’s brand language and of course great quality of products to go with that “sleek & to the point” brand image. During the time I lived in Bangalore I hoarded a tonne of lipsticks from Inglot because they had many physical stores there and I really do like the old school way of swatching and making a purchase decision based on how I perceive the product in reality rather than seeing it on the computer or phone screen.
