Nacific: Fresh Herb Origin Serum | Review

Nacific Fresh Herb Origin Serum is the Korean-skincare brand’s best selling product. I was thrilled to win this in a giveaway by Tsering Yangzom, a Gangtok based Makeup Artist. It promises to leave you with hydrated, radiant skin and tighter pores; more importantly that K-Pop dewy glow!

Product Claims:

Plant-based ingredients including a patented antioxidant component called Sepicalm (a blend of water lily extract and amino acids) and a pore complex of lemongrass, lime peel and applemint, work together to target signs of aging and to tighten enlarged pores. Aloe leaf water provides additional moisturizing and anti-inflammatory benefits, while non-comedogenic oils help promote a radiant complexion.

The Fresh Herb Origin Serum by Nacific is vegan and cruelty-free and is free of potentially irritating ingredients including parabens, sulfates, alcohol, mineral oil, essential oils, silicones, and artificial fragrances.

Note: Because the formula contains amino acids, you may experience a slight tingling sensation after application.

Key Ingredients – Nacific Fresh Herb Origin Serum

Nacific notes the following as the key ingredients in the Fresh Herb Origin Serum:

  • Aloe Leaf Water – hydrating and anti-inflammatory.
  • Sepicalm – a patented antioxidant ingredient made of a blend of water lily extract and amino acids.
  • Citrus oils – notably lemon peel oil, lime peel oil, and orange peel oil. Nacific notes these oils as part of the oil layer of the product .
  • Meadowfoam seed oil – helps to lock in moisture and soften the skin. This plant oil is highly resistant to oxidization and has potential benefits of helping penetration of ingredients into the skin.

Texture and Scent – Nacific Fresh Herb Origin Serum

The Nacific Fresh Herb Origin Serum is bi-phase, meaning that the oil and water components of the product separate from each other in the bottle. They need a good shake to combine before use.

It has a very watery consistency. The product spreads and absorbs easily. Note that after application, the product does leave a thin film of oil on the skin to help lock in hydration. As a result, this does leave some shine which I love but I can imagine it is not for everybody.

The oil component of the product does not feel heavy on the skin unless applied in excess amounts. Be sure to shake the product very well to dispense a good mixture of water and oil! The product has a citrus scent.

How I Use – Nacific Fresh Herb Origin Serum

I mostly always use it in the AM routine during the colder months. It tends to get too oily and overwhelming if used in sunny humid weather. But if you have dry skin-type you can use it all year round.

I use it on cleansed face or layer it over sunscreen. The product layers well and can also sit comfortably below makeup.

Packaging – Nacific Fresh Herb Origin Serum

The Nacific Fresh Herb Origin Serum comes in a sturdy, clear plastic bottle and standard dropper. This makes it easy to travel with; which IMO is a big advantage in comparison to serums packed in glass bottles.

My Overall Experience

Those with dehydrated or dry skin types will particularly enjoy using the Nacific Fresh Herb Origin Serum. While I don’t agree to the claim of tight pores, the bi-phase serum provides a balance of both hydration and moisture! This product was great for the drier winter months.

My skin instantly felt more supple and hydrated after applying the product.  The water components absorb into the skin quickly and provide hydration whereas the oil components provide a thin film of moisture to lock the hydration – the glow is my favourite part. But I want to emphasise its very easy to mistake this shine for oily skin so “less is more”.

Nacific: Fresh Herb Origin Serum Review

It retails for close to 1600 INR and is available on Nykaa and Amazon. It lasts for a very long time as you need a ver y little, with that and its efficacy observed I believe its a value for money options.
