I have been on the lookout for a oil cleanser that can remove waterproof mascara without stinging my eye. Safe to say I have been miserably failing in this quest. I really do like wearing mascara but the prospect of removing it at the end of the day was getting daunting. To rise above this fear I gave it another shot with The Rice Water Bright – Light Cleansing Oil.
I don’t think MAC Cosmetics has left any stone unturned in marketing this product! All Beauty Influencers and Makeup Artists alike can’t stop talking about it. You have to give it to MAC for some very potent advertising due to which I was (for the lack of a more appropriate word) coerced into buying this highlighting cream, ambitiously named – Strobe Cream!
I am a huge fan of Bioderma, a French Pharmacy Brand so just that fact might have swayed me a little, because the French take their Beauty seriously! One of the first posts I wrote on this blog, two years ago was a review for the Sensibio H2O and in the years that have passed have seen me try various offerings from Bioderma. So after finishing my previous face-wash I decided to take Sebium Gel for a ride.
My previous Colourpop order was a huge fiasco as far as the custom duty & shipping to India was concerned. That blog post has been read a thousands of times and the comment section is lit with folks sharing their personal good, bad and ugly experiences with Colourpop Shipping & Custom Duty experiences. If you haven’t check it out here.

Whenever brands claim things like long-lasting, 24 hour staying power and such I always take it with a grain of salt due to the many years of unmet expectations and OTT claims that hold no good but this time Maybelline surprised me with the Superstay 24 Hour 2 Step Lipstick. I was able to try the shade 115 Forever Chestnut.
Chubby Sticks are so popular lately, literally every colour cosmetic can be found in a chubby stick format. There is something so satisfying about holding a fat crayon and going to town; I guess it brings out the child in us. Lakme was on trend when they launched these Lip Pout Crayons and I was able to try the shade Mauve Hue.
I am a huge fan of the Micellar Water concept (read- This girl be lazy!) and more so of the brand Bioderma. Its a French Pharmacy Brand so just that fact might have swayed me a little, because the French know their Beauty products! One of the first posts I wrote on this blog, two years ago was a review for the Sensibio H2O and in the years that have passed have seen me try various makeup removing products and nothing ever came close to Bioderma. So after finishing numerous bottles of the Sensibio H2O I was glad to try the Hydrabio H2O variant.
To be absolutely honest Mascaras confuse me! There is a ginormous number of options available these days each holding a promise to give one the lashes of their dreams. There are the high-end cult favorites and the ones that have been around historically. I am generally tempted to play around within that safe zone but this time I wanted to try out something new – something drugstore – something that promises to make my lashes look “fan”tastic so after some research (because well, Ms.P cannot NOT research!) I settled on the waterproof variant of Maybelline Lash Sensational.
As I mentioned in some of my previous posts I am always on the look out for affordable alternatives of the high-end products and another such attempt was made here. In theory the Fit ME range by Maybelline makes great sense but as usual India Market did not get the full shade-range, which was quite disappointing. Out of the one’s available I was able to try the Shade 330 Toffee Caramel.
This one is from Maybellines’s permanent range named Colour Sensational Moisture Extreme. I was on the look out for a Bright Pink shade to match my Fuchsia Saree. When I came across this shade called Coral Pink (CB41) in the Yellow bright light at the mall; I thought this was it! But of course like many lipsticks it wears differently in daylight.
