I ran out of conditioner and was on the look out for a new one. Since I have been having a good run with OGX I thought why not try one more from the same brand. I have been struggling with winter dryness and resultant limp hair. I wanted something that will add volume and help with the cold weather problems so I opted for the Strength & Body + Bamboo Fiber-Full Conditioner.

Ingredients
It comes packaged in a opaque green colored plastic bottle in the typical OGX shape & branding. It has a flip top cap which helps regulate the flow of the product. This conditioner is relatively thinner in consistency as compared to the previous Argan Oil variant (from the same brand) I was using. It is white in colour and due to its relatively thin consistency it is easier to dispense and spread.

Consistency
The fragrance is fresh and strong. Initially quite overwhelming but does subside gradually. The hair remains fragrant for a couple of days after using this conditioner.
This product spreads well so little goes a long way, the Dimithicone has a part to play here. I have thin mid length hair with a oily scalp and the ends are prone to splitting. After shampoo I squeeze out excess water and apply this to the hair shaft carefully, without letting it get in contact with the scalp; let it sit for 5- 10 minutes and then rinse it out well.
I have noticed that when the hair dries, it is definitely voluminous, but it does not help with dryness. It doesn’t dry it out further nor does it make it any better! The hair is soft to touch but tends to frizz out! Often the next day, people ask me whether I didn’t get time to comb my hair! Day two onward things are much better because the natural sebum kicks in and so does the silicones which gradually start weighing the hair down due to build up.
Pros:
- SLS free
- Cruelty Free
- Environment Conscious Packaging
- Hair remains fragrant for a few days after
- Adds Volume
- Lasts long
Cons:
- Doesn’t help with dryness
- Not available readily offline.
- Contains Silicones.

OGX – Bamboo Fiber-full Conditioner | Final Thoughts
Closing Thought:
After using a few products from the OGX Brand in the past I have come to realize they are all mostly above average in performance. They might not be miraculous but they will definitely do a better job as compared to the regular stuff (Head & Shoulders/ Pantene/ Sunsilk and the likes) you get in super markets and stores. They also make for a value-for-money purchase because 385 ml for mid length hair lasts comfortably for a few months.
I might not re-purchase this one but I am definitely open to trying other variants from the same brand. Let me know what has your experience been with products from this brand.
