MAC: Extra Dimension Skin Finish- Shaft of Gold |Swatched

MAC’s Extra Dimension Skin finishes are some of the best highlighters around. Shaft of Gold was a part of MAC’s Magic of the Night 2015 holiday collection. I am not sure if its still available but if you like the colour a good dupe is  Bae Area by Colourpop. MAC describes it as a “deep bronze.” It’s a medium, orange-brown with warm undertones and a gold shimmer finish. Looks great on deeper Indian Skin Tones. It also makes for a nice day time eye-shadow.

It costs 2599 INR for 9 grams of product. The texture is smooth and finely-milled without feeling dry or powdery, which helps with both building a blinding intensity and creating a diffused soft glow. It does emphasize pores if not blended well. It has great pigmentation and lasts for a few hours before fading away. If you prefer intense highlighters that give a metallic sheen to the skin, you may enjoy this formula.

  1. I like the copper shade to this highlighter and the color of the packaging too! I have more than my fair share of favorite highlighters😂 but recently since I’ve been playing with color, I love the ABH Aurora palette and the ABH Nicole G. Glow Kit. ABH and Becca do a great job with highlighters! 😊
