I had heard tonnes about Wet n Wild’s affordable range of products from the international beauty community and was pretty thrilled when Nykaa.com officially made it available in India. I saw a YouTube video by Tshering of Titi’s Corner swatching the Magalast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks and fell in love with Rebel Rose a beautiful dusty pink colour.
The Megalast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick range contain 6 grams of product, and are retailing for 499INR.
The outer packaging of this product looks wonderful with a black gradient and feels sturdy and travel friendly. The quality & weight of the plastic tube is pretty amazing for the price. Also a thing to note is that the package is exactly similar to Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick, not sure if the formula is an exact dupe though!
‘Rebel Rose’ is a cool toned dusty pink shade. It is very creamy and applies beautifully. Definitely the most wearable shade of the line up that is so far available in India. It will make for a great day time colour and will look very flattering on fair to medium skin.
This product has a generic chemical-like liquid lipstick scent, but isn’t too overpowering. Good thing that the smell fades within seconds.
The product has a thin liquid consistency that sets to matte within a few minutes. I love how lightweight the product is unlike some of the other liquid lipsticks I have tried. It has solid pigmentation, one pass is enough to cover pigmented lips and two will start showing the true colour. It does layer, but it can feel a bit thick after two passes.
It gives 3-4 hours of comfortable & perfect wear, before it starts feeling dry and starts to fade from inside of the lips. Surprisingly it holds up pretty well even post meals! Of course super oily food will be the undoing of any product and this isn’t any different.
The applicator is fluffy, and curved so it hugs your lip as you apply. Its a great design but I find it a little too fluffy & big to control over the the thinner ends of the lips. The curve holds a lot of product, so you don’t need to dip in multiple times, often I reduce the amount because it can become too much – too soon for my thin lips. The fluffiness helps the product to smooth out on the lips & also eliminates the streaky finish. I found that the best way to apply this was to apply a thin layer first, then a second layer if I wanted full impact.
It takes a little bit of time to fully set – about 5 minutes. When set it still remains slightly tacky, not so tacky that the lips stick together but not totally dry either. That stage passes and it sets completely matte and transfer-proof.

In my opinion they offer a pretty good quality product at this price point. Its comfortable, long lasting, highly pigmented yet goes on smooth without looking patchy. Moreover they also claim to be cruelty free so extra points for that. I do hope the brand launches more colors and also become readily available offline.
