The overall branding and packaging improvement this brand has undergone is admirable. The new graphics make the products look luxurious. This is how good graphic design & branding plays up the perceived value of a product, which is very important considering we are making most of our purchase decisions online nowadays.

The lip balm is also packed in a unique cardboard packaging. It doesn’t feel flimsy which is a huge issue with cardboard packaging I have noticed in other products. I have heard some folks complain about the cap not sitting snug enough but then that’s what wear and tear will do to cardboard. The piece I got fortunately has no such issue.

The balm has a nice mellow floral fragrance which the brand claims to be natural (i.e no added fragrance). I am super sensitive to scents but this one is subtle and I quite like it. I can smell it only for the first few minutes after which it doesn’t linger which in my opinion is a good thing!

The balm has a slight colour to it, but it does not transfer on the lips. I am using this in the winters so the stick is pretty stiff and is not melting but I am positive that during the hotter months this will melt considering it contains ghee! So I will not recommend you carry this around in bags, rather store it in a cool place away from sunlight.

The balm feels very waxy initially but then after sometime that feeling fades away and the lips feel hydrated and comfortable. In my case they are quite chapped and flakey so this does help sooth them for a bit. I use this before applying liquid lipsticks and at night before bed.

The only downside I see to this is its poor longevity. The hydration one feels is short lived so frequent reapplication will be required. I suppose this will also depends on how dehydrated your lips are, in my case I need to re-apply every few hours.

SoulTree: Lotus and Kokum Butter Lip Balm | Final Thoughts

Closing Thoughts

Over all this is a good product. Its definitely pricey but then the certification fee and legitimate natural ingredients aren’t exactly cheap! I would have liked if the hydration it offered lasted a little longer but what it does offer isn’t bad either. Folks with very dry lips will need to re-apply frequently to make the hydration last.

What is your opinion of this lip balm? If you have any recommendation I would love to hear about them, let me know in the comments. Also swing by my Instagram for all things Beauty & Design!

I’m a huge lip balm person, and I always try to go the natural route! I will absolutely be ordering one of these for my mom and I! Thank you so much :).

Such a great product to promote and use for our self. Amazing detail for review especially that this product has no artificial color and for that a big thumps up.

  3. I like how cute and attractive the packaging and content is. For lip balm I always tend to stick to self made from my little DIY. Have you tried using a plain coconut oil? It solved my dry lips – but then thanks for this insightful review. Now I know what to look forward to when getting one.

  4. Amazing article on Lip Balm. Lip Balms are very useful product for men and women both. Check Custom Lip Balm Boxes for these lip balms. So you can sale more lip balm with customized packaging boxes.
