Hair Oiling is an integral part of Indian Culture; those of us in the sub-continent have grown up with mothers oiling our hair and have experienced the efficacy of the concept for years. Which in essence implies we know the in’s & out’s of our Hair Oil and over the years have learnt the ability to identify a good one. This is one such oil that immediately stood out to me.

My Experience
Post the first wave of covid I have experienced the worst hair fall of my life. When the second wave hit, it got so bad that I was scared to comb my hair because then it made the hair loss all the more evident. I was stuck like many others at my parents house due to the lockdown and around the time this oil was gifted to me; it was almost like a sign, it really couldn’t have come at a better time.
Reasons for hair-fall is almost always internal like stress due to illness, stress due to environment etc. So not much can be achieved with products. But having said that products do help supplement the situation externally by stimulating new growth and this oil did just that for me. I have been trying this oil since the past year and the results are fairly evident. The new growth of hair is very visible. This is an instagram post I had done after 4 month of use.
The product has a stellar ingredient list that is very much rooted in Ayurveda. It has a light consistency that spreads easy and more importantly comes off easy.
I am not the biggest fan of herbal scents but this one has a very pleasant calming (non-synthetic) fragrance that takes me back to childhood memories from summer holidays spent at home.
How I use the NM Cosmic Sutra Oil: I massage the scalp with this oil over the weekends, sometimes I keep it over night or for a few hours and shampoo afterwards. I also use little bit of this on freshly shampooed & towel dried hair, like a serum to add some moisture & control to the lengths. I must also highlight that I love the new branding and packaging. Now they boast of a plastic neutral certification which is a very big deal and indeed impressive for an Indian Brand. Closing Thoughts
Overall a wonderful hair oil that does absolutely what it claims and will work for all hair types. We all agree that in the current world we are always short of time so hair oiling and other such rituals that take time and effort have started to take a back seat. Honestly I don’t do it as much as I should but when I do, I expect the product to meet me half way and this one does more than that.
