M-Caffeine as a brand never really caught my eye primarily because the market is abuzz with coffee based products offered by numerous new entrants and there is only so much one can keep up with! I would have never tried it unless Ms. Super Consumer encouraged me to check out some options from M-Caffeine and I am glad I did! The first one that I dove into was the Naked & Raw – Coffee Body Scrub.

Aloe Vera is a well known ingredient for its moisturizing and soothing property. I would ideally prefer to use the gel directly from the plant but I have gloriously failed at keeping an Aloe plant alive, so I went the packaged & preserved route. Previously I have tried some gels from Patanjali and Shri Shri’s brand but both of them were very sticky and weird after drying so I was generally averse to the packaged options but The Face Shop’s Jeju Aloe Fresh Soothing Gel has surprised me!

This was released in Japanese markets in 2004, and has since become the #1 facial lotion there, with a bottle claimed to be purchased every four seconds! I had heard of this product a few years ago from the OG – Gothamista and since it was sitting in may “Want from Japan” list for a while. I don’t think MAC Cosmetics has left any stone unturned in marketing this product! All Beauty Influencers and Makeup Artists alike can’t stop talking about it. You have to give it to MAC for some very potent advertising due to which I was (for the lack of a more appropriate word) coerced into buying this highlighting cream, ambitiously named – Strobe Cream!
